Why We Exist
Legacy Paws Aftercare was founded in 2026 by Karlee Gerber to give Phoenix families a gentler, more honest option for a pet's final chapter — one where you are treated like a family in grief, not a transaction.
Too many families face a pet's passing with confusing choices, unclear prices, and a rushed goodbye in a clinic. We built Legacy Paws to be the opposite: published pricing, patient answers, and the option to say goodbye at home, on your own terms.

Karlee Gerber, Owner & Founder
Karlee founded Legacy Paws Aftercare and personally answers the calls, texts, and messages that come in. When you reach out, you are talking to the person responsible for your pet's care from the first conversation to the return of their ashes.
Our Veterinary Partner
Dr. Rodger Cahill, Licensed Veterinarian
Legacy Paws Aftercare is proudly partnered with Dr. Rodger Cahill, a licensed veterinarian with more than 40 years in practice, who performs every in-home euthanasia appointment we coordinate. Dr. Cahill is an independent veterinarian and is not an employee of Legacy Paws Aftercare; we coordinate the visit, and he provides the medical care. His decades of experience mean your pet is in calm, steady, expert hands.
How We Work
- Transparent pricing. Every service and add-on is listed on our pricing page. No hidden fees.
- Available when you need us. Cremation and pickup are available 24/7. In-home euthanasia is scheduled by appointment at a time that feels right for you.
- Every pet, every family. Dogs, cats, and small companions of every kind, whether you choose individual or communal cremation, in-home pickup, or drop-off at our north Phoenix facility.
